The Press
'This 2000 costs £14.95 a bottle, which may seem a lot, but I don’t know where else you would get a mature wine of this quality and vintage for this price.' —Simon Hoggart, The Spectator
Our tasting notes
Deep and well structured with a ripe, mature, Merlot nose. Good mineral flavours with hints of spice, soy and blackurrants. Chewy with good length which gives it further aging potential although it is just about at its peak maturity now.

About Chateau Ducluzeau
The vineyards are only 4.9 ha in size and are situated on the Listrac gravel plateau in the Médoc. Harvesting is entirely by hand from vines that have an average age of 40 years+. The wine spends 14-18 months in French oak barrels of which at least 40% are new. Everything is run to the same exacting high standards as are practiced at Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou.
