2009

Top notch Meursault from one of the best communes within this most illustrious of Burgundian appellations. 2009 was a good vintage and this wine is a perfect example. It is already starting to drink well but it will improve over the next 3 or so years. Lovely rich, buttery and slightly nutty flavours. This is a very serious white wine and all you’d expect from this excellent appellation.

Our tasting notes

Pale golden colour. Lots of fruit with hints of nut and butterscotch. Richd concentrated and honey wine. Lovely creamy flavours with a hint of hazelnuts. Well balanced oak and acidity. Delicious now but will improve with time.

About Meursault

Probably the most famous of the great white Burgundy appellations Meursault is also the largest. It's marl and chalk soil is perfectly suited to producing Chardonnay and gives it the slight stoniess than differentiates Meursault from some of its neighbours like Chassagne Montrachet.
