Serge Mathieu Brut Prestige | Champagne
NV
Organic Shipping NowAfter the huge success of the Mathieu's Brut Tradition—we have nearly bought them out of stock—we are pleased to offer you their 'special cuvée' a small step up. Aged for four years, this is a deliciously rich and fruity champagne that will be perfect for drinking this summer. Terrific value and much better that most 'grand marque' non vintage champagnes which are far more expensive. Also in magnums.

'I love champagne but hate how it gets away with those hoity-toity prices. This one’s delicious...and good value.’—Blake Creedon, The Irish ExaminerOur tasting notes
With four years ageing, smaller, finer bubbles that blossom with delicate fruit flavours. Rich with lots of chardonnay and very good—this is a serious champagne that will continue to age well. For the serious champagne drinker.Wine data

About Serge Mathieu
In 2007 Tom Stevenson, Decanter Magazine's Champagne expert, chose Serge Mathieu as one of the top three 'epitome of grower Champagnes,' awarding our Brut Tradition NV 5 Stars, whilst Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book of the same year listed the Mathieu's Tradition Brut as 'an outstanding eco-friendly' champagne to watch in 2007. This is one small step up!The Mathieus have lived in Avirey-Lingey since at least the mid-18th century. It is currently run by Serge Mathieu, his daughter Isabelle and Isabelle's husband, Michel Jacob, a vine-grower from the nearby village of Merrey-sur-Arce. Since Michel's arrival and the implementation of what he calls "borderline organic" methods of wine growing, the estate has gone from strength to strength, picking up countless awards.
