Stunning old style squat double magnums (4 bottles) of top St-Emilion Grand Cru, all individually bottled for us in wooden cases. Teyssier is owned and run by the dynamic Jonathan Maltus, producer of Garage wine, Le Dome, which sells for over €1,100 a case. Jonathan is assisted in the production by Gilles Pauquet, the oenologist to Cheval Blanc.
These double magnums, from the excellent 2008 vintage, are absolutely perfect as gifts, dinner party wine or simply to admire in the cellar! Will last at least another 20 years, if not 25.

Good deep red-purple hue. Lots of fruit and hints of tobacco and toasty oak. Plums, minerality and a little bit of spice on the palate. This is a rich forward wine that is elegant with fine tannins and great freshness. Already drinking well but will last and last.Wine data

About Château Teyssier
Based in the commune of Vignonet Château Teyssier has been producing wine since the 1700s. At one stage in the nineteenth century it was the largest estate in the neighbourhood.
Since then it has been bought by maverick producer Jonathan Maltus and a completely new team has transformed the wine and the estate. Renovation in every sense—estate, vineyard, winery, barrel cellar, and the fundamental approach to making wine means that Château Teyssier is widely regarded as a new-wave, modern-style wine from Saint Emilion. It now has something of a cult following.
Prices are all-inclusive for deliveries within the Republic of Ireland. Minimum total order is 1 case (12 bottles of 75cl equivalent) and may be mixed 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) of your choice.
